Camp War Eagle InformationCamp War Eagle is a Christian, sports, adventure and recreation summer camp for boys and girls ages 7 to 17 from Benton, Washington, Carroll and Madison counties in northwest Arkansas. Located on the shores of beautiful Beaver Lake, Camp War Eagle is the place for children from Northwest Arkansas to have the time of their lives and gain a greater appreciation for God, themselves and others. The children returning home will then positively affect their families and the communities of Northwest Arkansas. Camp War Eagle has over 60 different activities – just about anything a child would dream of doing during the summer! Some of the activities that the campers may choose are: swimming, archery, basketball, volleyball, horsemanship, skateboarding, hip-hop dance, cheerleading, pottery, wakeboarding, sailing, water slides, stained glass, riflery, nature study and conservation, woodworking, candle making, ropes course, rock climbing and many, many more. Camp War Eagle is the joint effort of the Walton Family Foundation and Incomparable Camp Ozark. Through the generosity of the Walton Family Foundation and the vision of Alice Walton – who wants to give those children that would not normally have the opportunity to attend a camp of this stature the chance to do so – most Camp War Eagle campers’ fees will be paid in advance. That’s right – 2 of the most memorable weeks of a lifetime – free! Camp War Eagle campers will earn their place at Camp based on several factors such as performance in school and service in the community. And, unique to Camp War Eagle, the experience will not end when the two weeks during the summer are over. Camp War Eagle will conduct regular meetings throughout the school year for all campers and their friends. Several of these meetings will take place at Camp War Eagle! And the Camp War Eagle staff will attend many of the campers’ activities throughout the year and will help mentor them and further develop their leadership skills. Wow! What a place for kids! What a place for the communities of Northwest Arkansas! The children that attend Camp War Eagle will have a blast, become more independent, learn how to work together in a group, learn how to make new friends, gain self-confidence, grow in their knowledge of God, live with 2-3 of the best college-aged role models and be mentored and develop leadership skills throughout the year.
